By integrating the Intralox 2700 Series side drive conveyor belt, SideDrive’s flexible food-safe conveyor solutions are limitless. You can move virtually any product—raw, packaged, and non-food items—in any configuration with drumless or cageless spirals and long-running, transferless conveyors.
The 2700 Series belt was initially developed in 2005 specifically for spiral solutions to replace metal belts driven by center drums. The industry was calling for a sanitary, plastic modular belt solution that could be used for specific applications where a metal belt is not desirable or required, as well as to improve upon other existing edge-driven solutions. At the time, the existing edge-driven solutions were primarily metal (or hybrid metal-plastic) and had technical issues in addition to the ever-present need for a cleaner solution to drum-based systems. As a proven and successful resolution to these problems, it didn’t take long for the 2700 Series belt to become a popular alternative. In fact, there are now over 100 installations of Intralox 2700 Series belts in spirals worldwide! At the end of the day, the market wanted a more sanitary belt solution for spirals and Intralox delivered.
